RULES FOR VISITORS

What is thepurpose of visiting a patient?

  • To meet the needs of the patient from outside (like clothing)
  • To ask for the condition of  the patien tand give psychological support to the patient
  • To get information regarding the patient’s health status from her/his doctor

    Patient visit, being a good example of social solidarity, raises the patient’s moral and have a favorable effect on the healing process when made appropriate

    What is visitingdaysandhours in ourhospital?

  • Everyday,between 12:00-13:30 and 19:00-21:00.

    Who can be informedaboutthehealth of thepatient?

  • If thepatient is conscious, in formation is given to the patient (himself/herself) or a first degree relative of fered by the patient
  • If the patient is unconscious, information is given to a first degree relative of the patient
  • If the patient is a child, information is given to the mother or father of the patient.
  • Information about patient can not be given to the third person.

    Which patients should not be visited?

    Patients;

    Who are in intensive care unit

    Who have contagious disease

    Who have immune system dysfunction

    Whose visit is considered risky by his/her doctor

    (Information about these patients can be obtained from his/her doctor at an appropriate time)

    Who should not visit a patient?

  • Children under 12 years of age
  • People who have complaints line fever, coughing, sneezing or expectorating
  • People who have chronic disease
  • People who are at risk for infection

    What are the points to be considered during a patient visit?

  • Please do not insist on visit if your visit is for biden by the physician for special medical conditions.
  • Make your visit during the visiting hours.
  • Keep your visit times short (preferably 10 minutes)
  • It is requested that not more than 2 persons visit a patient at the same time.
  • Visitors should not disturb other patients by talking loudly.
  • Visitors should not sit on the patients’ beds and touch any place in the hospital.
  • Please wash your hands before and after visiting.
  • Please do not forget that your actions aiming help for your patient may harm them.
  • Do not bring food to the patients and give food and drink to other patients in the room.
  • No food or beverage shall be consumed in the room of the patient.
  • Please do not disturb other patients and do not ask them curious questions.
  • Please show respect to patient’s privacy.
  • Please avoid inconvenient facts and statements.
  • Do not insist on visits outside the visiting hours.
  • At the end of the visiting time leave the patients’ rooms with out warning from the attendants.

    Why should not a patient visit be made during night?

  • It disturbs the patients who are sleeping
  • It is against the rights of the patients
  • It affects the security of the hospital adversely
